Programming ethos
Dr. Kozma believes that film is embedded in the fabric of cultural, artistic, and individual identity creation. Her programming focuses on highlighting expansive stories, forms, and aesthetics and strives to foreground traditionally overlooked voices across global film industries, including women, queer, and BIPOC creatives. She has an affinity for cult, horror, documentary, and weird film.
Endemic to her programming ethos is demystifying cinema and its industry for the general public, curating accessible cinematic experiences, and translating film’s past, present, and future for public enrichment. Critically, Kozma believes that all film is equally educationally and culturally valuable when curated with intention, and she excels at crafting conversations, ancillary content, and audience experiences to build holistic programming that drives audience development, retention, and lifelong movie lovers.
